Mark is an amateur bird, macro and astrophotographer who is based in Cape Town. Originally from the UK his family moved to South Africa at an early age.
He picked up the camera for the first time whilst cage diving with Great White sharks and has been hooked ever since. Whether it's hunting for birds, crawling on the ground searching for the smallest of insects or looking up at the night sky, Mark is happiest when he has a camera in his hands.
Patience is the name of the game when photographing birds. He has been known to stand in one place for hours on end, day after day, waiting for the right bird to land on the right spot in the right light.
